.  The original cast featured 22 actor/singer/dancers with Patrick directing, choreographing, and playing the role of GREY. The 2019 performance included a cast of passionate artists who believed in the process and were overwhelmed by the enthusiastic positive response to the show.

PURPLE rhymes with ORANGE “a colorful musical” written my Patrick Kasper is based on his book of the same name. It was first performed on January 25th 2020. Patrick wrote the script and 12 original songs for the show. 

The show received overwhelming positive reviews from critics and the audience attending the performance.

PURPLE rhymes with ORANGE the musical is based on essays, songs, poems, and sketches that Patrick has been working on since 1985.

The show began readings/ workshops with various casts from May 2019-September 2019 before going into full production rehearsals in October 2019. The cast featured 22 actor/singer/dancers with Patrick directing, choreographing, and playing the role of GREY. The 2020 performance included a cast of passionate artists who believed in the process and were overwhelmed by the enthusiastic positive response to the show. 

In March 2020 because of the shutdown of theaters due to covid 19 Patrick adapted the show as a play so it could become an entertaining, meaningful show via zoom or live adapted performances.
